It's actually a common phrase you would hear around Portland during the Blazers' Western Conference Finals and Finals Championship appearances. He was just too soft in the middle. But, the man had a big heart and will be remembered fondly around the area for his generosity, as he felt so at home here in The Rose that he came back after retiring from the NBA. He still helped the team until his final day, when he passed away on Monday. Duck was on the Oregon Coast helping put on a free basketball clinic during a 19 city tour around the state. He loved to fish and hunt and mostly worked out of his home. He was a big man and loved the Blazers so much so he even snagged a Blazer dancer. Go get'em Duck!
