Survival Drive : Uncovering present-day Japan through a 131 day, 34,033km journey.

"Survival Drive is the incredible journey taken by two artists to document the present-day of Japan. Travelling by car, painter Reijiro Mochizuki (a.k.a. Rei) and photographer Shouichiro Fukuda (a.k.a. Hooky) spent 131 days crossing the country, clocking up 34,033km in the process. Reijiro Mochizki and Souichiro Fukuda undertook this immense journey across Japan creating a series of sketches and photographs of the things they encountered along the way. For this book, we carefully selected the best of their work, along with maps of journey, photos of recording devices, and extracts from their blog."

I thought we would have received this honor from PAPER, but I guess they didn't recognize us. Oh well, our friends at THE FIX got noticed and that's good enough for us. Help these guys get that top spot!!!

What a week! Our competition is tough going up against nights such as Dim Mak in LA and Social Club in the Chi. Though we've got much love for the other nominees, WE NEED PORTLAND TO REPRESENT!!!

The PREFIX: Halloween on Thursday

Join The B.O.P. and friends this Thursday the 30th at hecklewood for their PREFIX Halloween Party. All information needed is in the flier below except that you need a costume to join in on the fun and free PBR. Now who can't find a blank t-shirt and write "Ceiling" on it for some free PBR.


Afterward join the crowd as they head over to The Fix @ Someday Lounge to listen to the sounds of Count Base D and some of my favorite musical talents from the Portland area.
