Some May Know: Keith Moved

T u e s d a y , N o v e m b e r 1 0 , 2 0 0 9

Some of you may know I moved out of the sneaker residence and into a state of solitude where I focus on studies and look towards a fuzzy future. Out of my rebellion comes education and a run-down townhouse home to a number of characters and a family of raccoons. Below I've provided a montage of pictures depicting my new stomping grounds.

On a side note----Like streetwear brands, Blogs continue to disappear at a rapid rate and it is my hope that this doesn't happen to ours. What do you say B.O.P. Members? What do you say to a resurgence? It wasn't long ago that we declared 2009 as ours!

The Value of the NBA Preseason.....

T u e s d a y , O c t o b e r 1 3 , 2 0 0 9
Q: Rumor has it you’re a great chef. Can you talk about some of your specialties?
Adam Morrison: Toast.

Q: Right. What’s your plan of attack when, uh, cooking (?) a piece of bread?
Adam Morrison: I usually stay between four and five on the knob you adjust for temperature. If I’m feeling really crafty, I’ll go six, but four and five is where I like. I go for a lighter toast. I prefer peanut butter as the main topping, but you have to add butter on there for the extra cholesterol. You know, butter the toast to get it nice and soft, then add the peanut butter on top to give it a nice texture. It's unhealthy, but that's why it tastes so good.

The Worst Of The Best

S a t u r d a y , O c t o b e r 1 0 , 2 0 0 9
Knowing that free PBR can only engage and enrage an audience so much (they've failed miserably on at least eleven Thursdays during the past year...), the gang at Hecklewood decided to add a new wrinkle to the mix at the 1 Year Anniversary bash on Thursday....

A CASCADIAN THEMED PHOTOBOOTH!!!!!

The fun never ended!!!

(That is...until *this* happened...)

[Special thanks to Matt O'Brien for dealing with all of the idiots like us who thought they were coming up with hilarious and witty poses on the spot. Check the full album HERE...]

Holy Shit -- They Did It!!!

W e d n e s d a y , O c t o b e r 7 , 2 0 0 9
Someway, somehow, Hecklewood has made it a full year amongst their suspect OT/CT surroundings. Around the corner from countless shady bums. Next door to a police station.

The perfect retail location indeed.

But, they made it. [Sam claims 4,366 free beers, 488 new friends, 44 shirt graphics, 37 drunk hobos, 22 parking tickets and 18 exhibition parties were involved along the way.]

So they're throwing a 1 Year Anniversary Party.

This Thursday.

7-10.

Be there.

Here's what it looked like before they wrecked the place.

In The Trenches.....

Zac's been at my place for roughly 35 of the last 42 days or something.

We're working away on a 200-page issue.

(Fuck.)

He's been crashing in my basement the whole time and carved out a nice corner for himself.

Haven't quite cleaned up from the last party. Sorry. Oh, and added a few boxes since.

DEVON GTX

F r i d a y , S e p t e m b e r 1 1 , 2 0 0 9

There is a new supercar on the scene, and get this: IT'S AMERICAN! I am not a big fan of American cars, other than the Dodge Viper, which I really like (first generation body style please), but this I like. I am sure it has to do with the unique two-tone paint job, unique paneling, and very clean lines and edges. It is very smooooooth.

It actually performs amazingly well also. It packs a nice V-10 under that finely sculpted hood, and it just set a new Leguna Seca lap record, for cars that aren't actual race cars, by posting a 1.35.075. That beats out the Nissan GTR, Porsche 997 GT3, Corvette ZR1, and the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR.

On sale for $500,000 next year, so start saving.

FAIL.

I spent a bit of my morning looking for some new tees.

(Can't wear Rodman tees around the clock apparently.)

It's been 8 months since I did a 'View All' on Karmaloop.

Likely to be another 8. At least.

Closed my Safari tabs for the day with a grand total of zero purchases.

Thanks to tees like this.

Magic Fall 09

S a t u r d a y , S e p t e m b e r 0 5 , 2 0 0 9
For those that don't know, Magic is the twice yearly trade show for streetwear and a ton of clothing in general. Basically if you work for a shop, it's the place to check out all your store's lines at once. It also doubles as a train wreck for anyone who thinks they have swag.

New base camp this year (props to the AK guys), luckily it was directly across the street from the nearest Ross.

Definitely had to hook the purple name tag up with the purple shoes. It was asking for it.

Yeah, two pics. THE HOOK-UP WAS THAT GOOD.

The calm before the storm. I was there obscenely early and had just about all my appointments on Tuesday (over nine hours at three different trade shows). That's not what's up.

Limited edition T-shirt and matching laces: targeting the consumer who can't stand to have only one garment with music-note-dollar-signs on it.

Two meetings in for me, this booth is completely empty and has strands of scotch tape around it. Somebody's intern wasn't about to have a good day.

Pat Liberty showing the Akomplice line for probably the tenth time that day.

The man, the myth, the legend dropped by the Akomplice booth minutes before I did. Good trip but Eric Glennie woulda made it that much better...

After Magic I hit Project (to check out the most ridiculous collection of hot chicks assembled in one place) and Capsule (to check out streetwear). Capsule was WAY bigger than last time and definitely appears to be the future destination of streetwear.

Hittin the airport, I saw my dude shutting shit down.
