W e d n e s d a y , D e c e m b e r 3 1 , 2 0 0 8Once again my main man Ricky Davis out-does himself, as he recently got hit with a 5-game suspension for violating the NBA's Anti-Drug Policy.
BIG SHOCKER THERE.
Here's the thing though...you have to be a true dumbass to actually get caught "violating" the policy. (Shout out to JWill!) You see, the league only tests veterans more than once a season if they "find cause," which they did in Ricky's case. But even then, you're only given 4 "random" tests throughout the year, and you're given a heads up 2 weeks prior to each test. Once your four tests are done, you're free to do as you please til next season. Fail one test, and you have to enter the BS Anti-Drug program. Caught twice and you pay a $15K fine and re-enter the program. (At that point, maybe you don't smoke during your 2-week heads up period?) It's not until a third failed test that you get suspended.
Well done Tricky Ricky.
(And for those keeping score at home - He smashed the blonde. She was 17. It was in Utah so it's cool. The middle chick was likely the target for the night though. Well, probably all 3.)

You realize Ricky plays for the Clippers, right? I think this was just a well orchestrated plan on his part to play five less games for them.

Well he hasn't played since Nov. 22nd so I don't think he gives a damn. Which isn't any different from when he's playing on a team in the playoff hunt either.
