I know I have been M.I.A. for a minute, but hopefully this post will make up for it. Probably not, but oh well.

1. The Ping Pong door

This gem has a ping pong table for the main body of the door that can rotate out to form a level playing surface. Great space saver and amazing fun! This should be the official game room door.

2. Always full wine glass

Another diamond in the rough. I would love to have one of these. I really enjoy a good glass of wine, and this looks like it could help me really enjoy a good BOTTLE of wine. It works the same as the much less elegant cat or dog water bowls that keep the bowl filled while holding the water reservoir upside down and on top of the bowl. Surely, this will confuse just as many people, if not more, since a lot of people will probably only see this when drunk.

3. This crazy sink (Abisko Washbasin from Eumar)

This just looks cool. It looks like a urinal and a sink got together and had a love child, but it came out really cool, you know instead of really dumb and easy to make fun off.

The chair has been done, and most would say done well. I mean, after all, it has stayed basically the same for a long time now. Most just view it as something that isn't really in need of a make over and serves its exact purpose. Well, it does, but what if it could do it better, and look way cooler doing it? Well, then, you would have this:

This is the "Ruby" rocking chair designed by Pouyan Mokhtarani. It looks very interesting and other-worldly while also seeming to be functional. It looks like it would rock well, and it has individual water filled cushions for each side of your posterior. Oh, the comfort.

The Baby Mop



So, this is interesting. While I can see how some would say it lets the baby earn its keep by pitching in around the house, something just seems cruel about making a baby wear this. It seems more like you are turning your baby into a novelty act, which isn't cool in the long run. Also, if your floor is dirty enough that you need the baby's help cleaning it, then it is too dirty for the baby to be crawling around on it.

So, I am officially on the house hunt now. My girlfriend and I have seen many houses, upwards of 20, over the last two weekends. We were getting tired of being disappointed until we stumbled upon a really cool one last Sunday night. Why do I bring this up? Well, it leads directly to the subject of my post for the day. Since we are hoping to move into a house soon, I have been browsing the vast inter-web for fun additions to a new home. I have been looking at things like lights, fans, dining tables, etc. last night I stumbled across the most interesting ceiling fan I have ever seen. The idea makes sense, but I have never seen one before, so I have no idea how well it works.

Porsche Sled

With all the winter weather going on across the United States right now, especially here in Portland, where we have seen the most snow for December EVER, I decided to keep this in the winter theme. So I am presenting to you my two favorite sleds EVER. The first is the sled you see above, the Porsche sled. Yes, the same Porsche that makes such great cars as the 911, Cayman, Boxster, Cayenne, and the soon to come Panamera. The sled is Uber-slick and stylish. It has a great design which looks very classy and is functional. The legs fold up allowing you to stow it in your Cayenne with no trouble at all. It can be yours for $490. I would love to try this out.

But, probably not as much as I would love to try out this next mode of snowy transportation.

The Slegoon

This thing looks fast, fun, and safe. This would probably be enough to get me out to Mt. Hood as much as I should be going. You wouldn't even have to worry about running into anything with that roll cage around you. The roll cage also acts as extra runners so you can keep flying down the hill even if you get flipped upside down. When most people would be stopped or flailing around, you are still shredding the slopes. Just look at that racing bucket seat. Everything seems fast on this baby.

Boom! And I am back with another weird thing for your collection of weird things I know you are all building to keep up with these posts. This one comes from a childhood love of mine: Dinosaurs. I loved them as a kid, and will still watch any Jurassic Park movie anyone releases, and I would watch a Dino-Riders movie as well. That T-Rex above is a LIFESIZE replica of the real deal. Yeah, LIFESIZE. That's roughly 18 ft tall (at the top of the head) and 45 ft long. I know, it took me a minute to comprehend as well, so take your time. You ready to continue? Here comes the other shocker, it is only $36,151.47. You still there, or did you rush out to buy one? If you do want one though, be prepared to wait 4 months because each one is hand built by the supplier.

Eye Jewelry Project

So I was digging through the WTF files, and I came across these. I think you will agree that this is one of the most unnecessary things you will ever see, and is also strangely grotesque. Don't worry, though, it is nothing violent and gory, just downright strange. They are supposedly safe, but I can't imagine trying to blink with these on. I'm not sure I would want to run across someone actually wearing these. On second thought, I think I would, because I would have to see this to believe it. For now, these are just concept art from artist Eric Klarenbeek. Now, on to the pics.

Back again. This installment focuses on interesting pens. These are a couple of beauties. Not only are they functional, but one promises better posture of all things, and the other is handmade in Italy.

First up: Falter 2D pen

The goods on this baby: You get that circuit board panel you see at the top, and YOU turn that into the pen you see underneath. Fun, right? The kit includes the tool you'll need for bending the panels into the correct shapes. I think this could be really cool. Since you build it yourself, everyone's could have a slightly different personality. Here's the irony: It says handmade in Italy, but since you put it together, isn't it handmade wherever you are?

This bed is very opposite of what I would want out of a bed, but for some reason it intrigues me. However, I thought it was supposed to be dark when you were trying to sleep. Either way, it looks cool. I can see the pick up lines coming already, "You've really got to check out my bed."
