Future Footwear Inspiration?

It's been a bit of time since the people behind "the prancing horse" have unveiled something completely new, but here it is. With seemingly everything else (movies, shoes, clothes, architecture, and other cars) being retro inspired, why wouldn't Ferrari take a shot at it?

Introducing the new Ferrari California, inspired by, you guessed it, the old Ferrari California. They did bring the usual Ferrari technology, ride, and overall beauty to this car to freshen it up. It is also their first ever hard-top drop-top.

Behold the majestic beauty:

I like it. But at the same time...it doesn't SCREAM Ferrari and could pass for a hot Acura or something. (Tiburon even?....) The door seems boring.

Maybe I just don't see the lure of these hyper-expensive cars...word to the Porsche Cayenne being the hottest Hyundai Santa Fe EVER.

Oh...and I've been reading way too fuckin much about Crooks&Castles latest trash. At first glance I thought the windshield side red stripe had an olive bordering.

It looks too much like a Corvette – especially the profile. And nobody wants to be Corvette guy.

To state the obvious: I'll take the original. (Who wouldn't?)
